What Is the Challah Extravaganza?

The Challah Extravaganza is a first-of-its-kind online event for Jewish women who are intrigued about a deeper connection to their families, their heritage and their souls through challah  — not only as something we bake, but as something that brings warmth, meaning, and ruchniyus into our homes.

This event brings together challah enthusiasts, inspirational women, bakers, and thoughtful voices from around the world to explore challah from many angles: its traditions, its symbolism, the intention we bring to it, and the way it shapes the atmosphere of our homes and of course, our Shabbos tables.

And maybe even, our entire lives.

Some sessions focus on the practical side

— dough, braiding, and technique.

Others focus on what challah represents:

the prayers we whisper while baking, the sense of continuity it carries, and the role it plays in creating a warm Jewish home.

So how does this Challah Extravaganza work?

Each day you will get FREE ACCESS for 24 hours to that day’s scheduled presentations. You can come on and off during that time, whenever it works for you.

Plus!

We have a unique, hands on, LIVE segment each day… and the schedule for those special parts will be emailed to you in advance! Stay tuned for more fun!

You don’t need to bake every week.

You don’t need to consider yourself “a challah baker.”

If challah has ever felt meaningful to you — if it has ever felt like more than just bread —

this gathering is for you.

For free!

What Makes This Summit Different

Be part of this never-been-done-before challah experience!

This isn’t a general Jewish summit with a challah session tacked on.

Challah is the focus here — not only how to make it, but what it brings into a Jewish home.

Instead of trying to cover everything, this summit stays with one thing: a shared love of the special mitzvah of challah, one of the three mitzvos uniquely given to Jewish women — and gives it the spotlight it deserves.

You’ll come away with practical ideas you can actually use, along with thoughtful conversations that help you see challah a little differently.

And, more than anything else,

you’ll gain a deeper sense of pride in being a Jewish woman today —

Join us!

The Worldwide Challah Summit is a first-of-its-kind gathering — and you’re invited!

Bring a friend or two or seven – the more, the better!

Why Should You Care About Challah?

Why Challah Still Matters

Challah matters

because it is one of our, the Jewish Woman’s, primary mitzvos, rooted in the Torah itself.

It is a mitzvah practiced by our matriarchs throughout every generation, from mother to daughter, grandmother to daughter, and carried forward by Jewish women in every generation. It has kept us connected through this chain over thousands of years, and across every continent!

As we separate challah, we are participating in something generational. This is the same mitzvah done in Jewish homes for thousands of years.

When we do this mitzvah correctly,

it brings bracha into the home, into the food we prepare, and into the special bread we call “Challah”, that rests on our Shabbos table, the heart of the home.

Challah connects our kitchens

to Torah, to mesorah, our Jewish tradition, and to the Jewish nation, across time and place.

And that is why it still matters.

and why it always will.

.

WHO ITS FOR

The Challah Extravaganza is a 2-day online summit hosted by Tamar Ansh, bringing together

challah lovers

challah eaters

(yup, that should be YOU!)

Generational challah families

Mothers, daughters granddaughters, grandmothers and great-grandmothers who love challah and just want to get their hands in the dough.

and just regular Jewish women

who are fascinated about all things challah…and Jewish inspo… and what it means to us today.

It’s simple and easy.

Register for the summit. Watch sessions online from anywhere in the world, from the comfort of your home (Or car. Or phone. Or living room! Wherever you like!) . You get to listen at your own pace. And the best part?

You can choose to bake too; or just ENJOY, LISTEN & ABSORB

If you’re curious about Challah, shaping, sourdough, fun breads, gluten free or just about anything to do with Jewish breads, then this event is for you! We’ll be having a really great time hearing from so many incredible talented and famous women in this field PLUS just getting a chance to dive in and learn more about all that dough! (pun very much intended!)

The main portion of the summit runs from Monday, Feb 23rd 2026 – Tuesday, Feb 24th, 2026.

While many of the presentations for the summit are pre-recorded, (to ensure a smooth viewing experience across all time zones for all of you!) there are some live elements that you’re going to want to get access to because they are going to be SO MUCH FUN!

The LIVE,  Interactive sessions such as our Challah Game Show with Rivka Bar Horin, and some of the other live elements are only available live.

We’ve tried our best to put those at a time of day that is accessible to most time zones.

But not to worry:  With your FREE TICKET you get access to the sessions of that day for a full 24 hours, all the way through to 11:59 pm EST of each day. So we encourage you to attend live if you can!

This EXTRAVAGANZA is much more than just sessions you view. some sessions are interactive — like the ones where you get to be mafrish challah alongside me. But most sessions are for you to just absorb, listen and RELAX. You can even watch them on the go if you have to do carpool, wash dishes, or take care of something at home just then!

Your free ticket includes 24 hour access to each day of the presentations. If you need more time, you can always upgrade your ticket to our CHALLAH EXTRAVAGANZA ALL-ACCESS PASS, which will give you extended access to the presentations along with premium bonuses from our speakers… and more!

To avoid tech glitches, give you the best possible experience, and keep things easy for the speakers, many (but not all!) of the presentations are pre-recorded and will be released at a scheduled time during the summit.

Absolutely NOT.

When you register, you’ll be added to my special Challah & Crumbs and Chazak email list so we can send you updates for the event and links to each day’s presentations.

After the summit is over, you’ll continue to hear from me, but you can always choose to unsubscribe at any time.

Each of the speakers will have free resources available that you can access by providing an email address in order to download it, but the speakers will not get your email address from me unless you choose to give it to that speaker specifically. That way, you only hear from the people you really love and don’t have to worry about getting added to 272.5 email lists that you’re not interested in.

You can learn more in our Privacy Policy.

Challah Still Matters

So does gathering around it.
